7 All Natural Home Remedies for Ear Wax Removal

In some people the glands of the ears produce more wax than can be easily removed.Especially when people make dangerous mistakes like plunging Q-tips into their ears.

The earwax hardens and begins to block the entire canal. Some ear wax is good for protecting our ears from dust and bacteria as well as other bacteria that could get into the ear and  damage it. When the wax becomes too much it can affect our hearing and become painful.

1. Baby oil

Warm one tsp of baby oil to body temperature. Remember placing any liquid into your ear that is warmer or cooler than the temperature of your body can cause vertigo. Tilt your head so that the infected ear is facing towards the ceiling. Grabbing your ear pull down and out so that your ear is open enough for the baby oil to reach the blockage. Place a few drops into the ear using an eye dropper. Keep the ear facing the ceiling for 5-7 minutes. Hold a towel to your ear and move your head right side up. Repeat twice daily for 3-4 days. Flush the wax out of year ear using a syringe and lukewarm water. If this works correctly, the baby oil will have softened the ear wax. Afterward place a few drops of rubbing alcohol into your ear to prevent bacterial growth.

2. Saline Solution

Mix two tsp of salt with 1/2 cup of lukewarm water until the salt has fully dissolved. Using an eye dropper squeeze a few drops into your ear with your head tilted upwards. Hold the water in your ear for 3-5 minutes and tilt your head to the opposite direction and drain the water out. This is said to be the best method for removing ear wax.

3. Vinegar and Rubbing alcohol

Place equal parts of vinegar and rubbing alcohol into a bowl and mix. Place a few drops into the ear and drain.This method is very good for swimmers ear as well.

4. Warm Water

You can flush your ears with warm water by using a bulb syringe or an eye dropper.

5. Olive Oil

Slightly warm some olive oil and using an eyedropper place 34 drops into each ear. Allow it to settle for around 10 minutes and tilt your head to remove the excess oil onto a towel, you can also flush with warm water after soaking in the olive oil for added effect.

6. Baking Soda

Mix one-fourth a teaspoon of water. Tilt your head and drop in several drops of the mixture.Wait 10 minutes and flush with warm water.

7. Coconut Oil

The oil is a natural antimicrobial agent, and this minimizes the risk of your ears getting infected. It can also kill a wide variety of harmful microorganisms that can result in the build-up of wax in the ears.

Melt the oil and fill an eyedropper with it, once cooled tilt your head and add a few drops of oil to each ear. Let stand for 3 minutes and tilt your head to the opposite side to drain off.
