Contraindications: Turmeric should not be used by people with gallstones or bile obstruction. Though turmeric is often used by pregnant women, it is important to consult with a doctor before doing so as turmeric can be a uterine stimulant.


For Fresh Turmeric Pickle you need:

1 C Fresh Turmeric ( I bought it from Indian Grocery Store, you will find it near they keep ginger & other root vegetables)
1/2 C Juice of 3-4 Large sized Lemon
1 tsp Salt

Method:

1.  Wash & paper dry fresh turmeric, just like we wash ginger, Peel & dice thinly.
2.  In a jar, add these diced turmeric, salt & lemon juice..Its ready to eat..but it will taste the best after 3- 4 days of pickling. Serve it with Roti & Curry of your choice.


Note: Ginger can also be added along with turmeric.
