Gargle Recipe for Post Nasal Drip
1. Pour 4 cups of boiling water over 4 teaspoons of dried sage leaves or 4 tablespoons of fresh sage leaves.
2. Add a tiny pinch of whole cayenne pepper seeds. Cover the container.
3. After twenty minutes, strain out the herbs. Add one tablespoonful each of apple cider vinegarand salt to the liquid. Stir until the salt is dissolved.
4. Let cool. Gargle as desired. If you have access to marshmallow root, add two teaspoonfuls of it to the blend when brewing the herbs. It is a very soothing herb. You may obtain marshmallow root from herb shops and natural food stores.

हल्दी -हल्दी गुणों की खान है वाकई बहुत महान है। हल्दी से हाथ पीले हुए बगैर जिंदगी को दिशा नहीं मिलती। हल्दी में औषधीय गुण हैं। एंटीबायोटिक है हल्दी। हल्दी,नमक और थो$डा सा सरसों के तेल को मिलाकर मसू$डों की मालिश करें। मुख दुर्गंध एवं पायरिया से निजात पायेंगे। गर्म दूध में आधा चम्मच हल्दी प्रतिदिन पिएं, रोगप्रतिरोधक क्षमता में वृद्घि होगी। हड्डियां मजबूत रहेंगी।
एक चम्मच हल्दी को थो$डा भूनकर शहद के साथ लें। गला बैठना तंग नहीं करेगा और खांसी फुर्र हो जाएगी। कट जाए,जल जाए,चोट लग जाए हल्दी पाउडर लगाएं,रक्तस्राव बंद हो जाएगा, फोला भी नहीं प$डेगा। मोच आ जाए तो एक मोटी रोटी बनाएं उसमें सरसों का तेल व हल्दी डालें। गर्म रोटी को मोच वाली जगह पर बांधे,सूजन छू हो जाएगी। हल्दी चंदन और नीम पाउडर के मिश्रण को चेहरे पर लगाएं। न केवल झाइयां, फुंसियां ठीक हो जाएंगी बल्कि चेहरा भी चमकने लगेगा और फेसवाश भूल जाएंगे।
लौंग-इलायची-
मुख दुर्गंध से निजात दिलाने में लौंग-इलायची लाजवाब हैं। तभी तो भोजन-उपरांत लौंग-इलायची हम सभी खाना पसंद करते हैं। कुछ लोग सौंफ एवं अजवायन भी पसंद करते हैं। तेज सिर दर्द हो तो लौंग को पीसकर थो$डा पानी मिलाकर माथे पर लगाएं। सिर दर्द कम हो जाएगा। दांतों के दर्द में लौंग पाउडर से मालिश फायदेमंद है। लौंग तेल का फाया भी लगा सकते हैं।
लौंग को हल्का भून लें और चूसते रहें। खांसी नजदीक फटकेगी तक नहीं। शरीर में कहीं भी फो$डा फुंसी,नासूर हो गया हो तो लौंग-हल्दी पीसकर लगाएं। मुंह में छाले हों तो इलायची शहद लगाएं। पेशाब में जलन हो तो मिश्री और इलायची पाउडर ठंडे पानी के साथ पिएं। पेशाब में जलन कम होगी। हिचकी आ रही है तो इलायची-लौंग को पानी में उबाल कर पी लें। यदि आराम न मिले तो प्रयोग को दो तीन बार दोहरा लें। निश्चित ही हिचकी आनी बंद हो जाएगी।
जीरा-
मसालों की शान है जीरा। सहजीरा मिल जाए तो क्या कहने। दस्त आ रहे हों, पेट में मरो$ड हो रही हो तो जीरा भून कर पीसकर दही, लस्सी, छाछ आदि से लें। जीरा-सौंफ समान मात्रा में भूनें,पीसकर पानी के साथ दिन में दो तीन बार लें। पेट में मरो$ड की शिकायत शांत हो जाएगी। आंतों के कृमि भी मर जाते हैं। मूत्र विकार एवं प्रदर रोग में भी जीरे का पानी में उबालकर सेवन करें। फायदा मिलेगा।
मेथीदाना-
मधुमेह के रोगियों के लिए मेथीदाना फायदेमंद है। एक कप पानी में रात को मेथीदाना भिगो दें। सुबह उस पानी को पी लें और मेथीदानों को चबाकर खाएं। वात रोग एवं हृदय रोग में भी मेथीदाना फायदेमंद साबित होता है। मेथी,हल्दी,सौंठ को बराबर मात्रा में लेकर पाउडर बना लें। १-१ चम्मच सुबह शाम गर्म पानी अथवा दूध से लें। इससे जो$डों का दर्द व सभी तरह के वातरोग एवं सूजन में फायदा मिलता है।
कालीमिर्च-
रात में सोने से पूर्व कालीमिर्च मुंह में रखकर चूसते रहें। खांसी से छुटकारा मिलेगा। नींद भी अच्छी आएगी। चाय की जगह काली मिर्च,अदरक पीसकर का$ढा बनाएं और उसका सेवन करें। सर्दी,खांसी,गले की खर्राश से छुटकारा पायेंगे।
राई -अजवायन-
सिरदर्द है। राई को पीसकर माथे पर लेप लगाएं। शराब से छुटकारा चाहते हो तो आधा कि.ग्राम अजवायन को ४ लीटर पानी में उबालें। उबालना तब तक जारी रखें जब तक पानी की मात्रा आधी नहीं हो जाती। भोजन से पूर्व प्रतिदिन लगभग १०० दिन तक पिएं। शराब की लत से छुटकारा पा जाओगे। अजवायन को हल्का भूनें। पीस लें। सुबह-शाम गर्म पानी में मिलाकर सेवन करेंं। सर्दी जुकाम एवं पेट के रोगों से छुटकारा पा जाएंगे।
धनिया-
पेशाब ठीक से नहीं आता, अम्ल पित्त से परेशान हैं, रक्तप्रदर हो रहा है, दस्त में खून आए तो घबराएं नहीं। धनिया पाउडर पानी में पकाएं। एक चौथाई पानी शेष रहने पर उसे छानकर बोतल ेमें भर लें। शहद के साथ इसका प्रतिदिन सेवन करें। ठंडे पानी के साथ एक चम्मच धनिया पाउडर का सेवन करें। शरीर में अनावश्यक गर्मी शांत होगी। पेशाब ठीक आएगा। एसिडिटी नहीं होगी। यहां तक अनावश्यक कामवासना भी शांत हो जाएगी।

- चोट लगने पर: शरीर के किसी हिस्से में चोट लग जाए और दर्द सहा न जाये तो मेंहदी के पत्तों को पीस कर उसमें थोड़ी सी हल्दी मिलाकर उस स्थान पर बांधे। इससे आपको जल्द ही दर्द में राहत मिलेगी।
- मुंह में छाले: मुंह में होने वाले छाले बहुत तकलीफ देते हैं। इसके लिए मेंहदी के पत्तों को रात में साफ पानी में भिगों दें। सुबह पत्तों को पानी से निकालकर इस पानी से कुल्ला करें। छाले जल्द ही ठीक हो जायेंगे।
- टीबी में मददगार: मेंहदी में टीबी जैसी घातक बीमारी को दूर भगाने के गुण होते है। एंटीबैक्टरियल होने के नाते यह टीबी से रोग से लड़ने में मददगार हो सकता है। इसकी पत्तियों को पीसकर इस्‍तेमाल करने से टीबी की बीमारी में राहत मिलती है लेकिन ऐसा करने से पहले डॉक्‍टर से सलाह अवश्‍य लें।

- दर्द में आराम: मेंहदी की तासीर ठंडी होती है जो दर्द में आराम दिलाती है। अगर सिर में दर्द हो रहा हो, तो मेंहदी की पत्तियों को पीसकर इसका लेप लगा लें। इससे दर्द से तुंरत राहत मिल जाएगी। माइग्रेन के दर्द के लिए हीना एक अच्छा प्राकृतिक उपचार है।
- जलन कम करें: अगर कहीं चोट लगा जाये या जल जाए तो मेंहदी की पत्तियां पीसकर लगाने से राहत तुरंत मिलती है। इसमें ठंडक होती है जिसके कारण जलन शांत हो जाती है। त्‍वचा की जलन सबसे अच्‍छी तरह से मेंहदी से ही ठीक होती है।
- बालों को अच्‍छा बनाएं: बालों में रूसी या अन्य कोई समस्या हो तो हीना का प्रयोग करें। यह बालों का प्राकृतिक कंडीशनर है जिससे बालों में चमक आती है। बालों में हल्‍का रंग भी इसे लगाने से आता है जो काफी लम्‍बे समय तक चढ़ा रहता है।
- गर्मी दूर करे: मेंहदी बहुत ठंडी होती है जिसके कारण इसमें कई गुण समाएं रहते है। हिना की पत्तियां, शरीर से गर्मी को दूर भगाती है। अगर आप पैरों में मेंहदी का लगाएं तो आपको गर्मी या लू नहीं लगेगी। यह काफी प्रभावशाली होती है।
- तुलसी के चालीस पचास पत्तों को मेहँदी के दस बीस पत्तों के साथ अपने तकिये के नीचे बिछा दें और आँख बंद कर आराम से लेट जाए मीठी नींद आ जायेगी ।
- विवाहोच्छुक कन्या जब किसी कन्या के विवाह में जाये और यदि वहां पर कन्या को मेहँदी लग रहे हो तो अविवाहित कन्या कुछ मेहँदी उस कन्या के हाथ से लगवा ले तो विवाह का मार्ग प्रशस्त होता है|
- सरसों के तेल में मेहँदी के पते उबालकर उस तेल की मालिश सिर में करने से स्वस्थ बालों का विकास होता है. 
- एलोवेरा का जूस मेहँदी में मिलाकर बालों में लगाने से बाल चमकदार तथा स्वस्थ रहते हैं। 
- चुकंदर के ताज़े पत्ते मेहँदी के साथ पीसकर सिर पर लेप करने से बालों का गिरना बंद हो जाता है.
- मेंहदी की पत्तियाँ किताबों और कपडों में लगने वाले कीडों को आसपास भी भटकने नहीं देती। मेंहदी की 5-10 सूखी पत्तियों को किताबों और कपडों की अलमारियों में रखिए, कीडे नही पडेंगे।
- मेहँदी, नीम और बेर की पत्तियाँ, पोदीना और अमरबेल, इन सबको पानी से धो साफ करके, सिल पर पानी के छींटे मारते हुए पीसकर लुगदी बना लें। लोहे की कढ़ाई में काले तिल या नारियल का तेल डालकर लुगदी डाल दें और आँच पर चढ़ाकर गर्म करें।
इसे इतनी देर तक तपाएँ कि लुग्दी जलकर काली पड़ जाए और तेल से झाग उठने लगें। अब कढ़ाई उतारकर किसी सुरक्षित स्थान पर ढँककर तीन दिन रखें। चौथे दिन तेल को कपड़े से छानकर ढक्कनदार काँच की बोतलों में भर लें। बस तेल तैयार है।रात को सोने से पहले कटोरी में तेल लेकर, दोनों हाथों की उँगलियाँ तेल में डुबोकर बालों की जड़ों में लगाकर 15-20 मिनट तक मालिश करें। इस प्रयोग से बाल जड़ से काले पैदा होने लगते हैं, सिर में ठण्डक बनी रहती है और गहरी नींद आती है, यानी अनिद्रा रोग गायब हो जाता है।
इस तेल का प्रयोग करते समय किसी भी प्रकार का तेल, साबुन या शैम्पू का प्रयोग करना सख्त मना है। बालों को धोने के लिए मुल्तानी मिट्टी या खेत की मिट्टी पानी में गलाकर कपड़े से छान लें और छना हुआ पानी बालों में लगाकर मसलें फिर साफ पानी से बालों को पोंछकर सुखा लें। बाल गीले न रखें, पूरी तरह बाल सूखने पर ही तेल लगाएँ।
- पिसी हुई सूखी मेहँदी एक कप, कॉफी पावडर पिसा हुआ 1 चम्मच, दही 1 चम्मच, नीबू का रस 1 चम्मच, पिसा कत्था 1 चम्मच, ब्राह्मी बूटी का चूर्ण 1 चम्मच, आँवला चूर्ण 1 चम्मच और सूखे पोदीने का चूर्ण 1 चम्मच। इतनी मात्रा एक बार प्रयोग करने की है। इसे एक सप्ताह में एक बार या दो सप्ताह में एक बार अवकाश के दिन प्रयोग करना चाहिए।
सभी सामग्री पर्याप्त मात्रा में पानी लेकर भिगो दें और दो घण्टे तक रखा रहने दें। पानी इतना लें कि लेप गाढ़ा रहे, ताकि बालों में लगा रह सके। यदि बालों में रंग न लाना हो तो इस नुस्खे से कॉफी और कत्था हटा दें। पानी में दो घण्टे तक गलाने के बाद इस लेप को सिर के बालों में खूब अच्छी तरह, जड़ों तक लगाएँ और घण्टेभर तक सूखने दें।
इसके बाद बालों को पानी से धो डालें। बालों को धोने के लिए किसी भी प्रकार के साबुन का प्रयोग न करके, खेत या बाग की साफ मिट्टी, जो कि गहराई से ली गई हो, पानी में गलाकर, कपड़े से पानी छानकर, इस पानी से बालों को धोना चाहिए। मिट्टी के पानी से बाल धोने पर एक-एक बाल खिल जाता है जैसे शैम्पू से धोए हों।
लाभ : इस नुस्खे का प्रति सप्ताह प्रयोग करने से जहाँ बाल सुन्दर व मजबूत रहते हैं, वहीं सिर दर्द, अनिद्रा, शरीर की अतिरिक्त गर्मी, आँखों की जलन आदि व्याधियाँ दूर होती हैं। जिनके बाल अधपके होंगे वे इस नुस्खे के प्रयोग से काले दिखाई देंगे।
