Chamomile Oil

This is blue in color and safe even if it is for internal application. Tea Tree Oil

Surprisingly, you will also find it good in the treatment of swelling. One of the good things about this oil is that it can be applied directly on the surface of the skin that swells and there will be no need for you to have it mixed with a carrier oil. Put a few drops in your palm and massage the affected area. To speed up the process of recovery, this should be done at least twice a day.

Juniper Oil

Those who have been using juniper oil have reported that it is effective for rheumatism, which is why it has been chosen by many as well in the treatment of swelling. The oil has a spicy aroma and is also considered to be one of the oils that can help in detoxification. More so, it has also gained solid reputation for swelling that is caused by lack of water retention and premenstrual symptoms. If you have swollen feet, one of the things that you can do is to look for a large open container with more than enough depth where you can soak your feet. Fill it with water and half teaspoon of juniper oil. Dip your feet for about 20 minutes and you can instantly notice that the swelling will stop.

Lavender Oil

Lavender oil will not only help in being able to reduce swelling, but will also speed up the process by which you recover from various health problems. Unlike other essential oils, it does not come with a sweet and flowery scent. Rather, it is somewhat woody, but still pleasant. In order to use it for swelling, combine 2 drops of lavender oil with a drop of lemon oil and a drop of geranium oil. It is not recommended to use warm water is the weather is hot as it can only cause the affected area to be stiff. Dip the affected area for about 10 minutes. If in case the swelling is caused by burn, sting, or insect bites, you can put a drop of lavender oil directly on the area that is affected and it will soon work on its way towards giving it the cure that it needs.
